Meanwhile, Hercules looks for ways to blow off some steam while he adapts to the reality of his banishment. As Hawkeye attempts to clear his mind, he accidentally stumbles into an ambush carefully planned by the Mad Thinker and executed by his allies, the Triumvirate of Terror. Soon Wasp, Goliath, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver have all fallen victim to similar attacks. Only the timely arrival of Hercules is able to throw a wrench in the Mad Thinker’s plans and the Lion of Olympus makes quick work of the Triumvirate. Plot Summary

Having returned from Eastern Europe, the Avengers again begin to squabble amongst themselves over whether or not to offer membership to Black Widow. Widow herself is intercepted and taken captive on her way to Avengers Mansion, making the fight over her membership moot. Elsewhere, Hercules battles Ares over the fact that Ares failed to aid Hercules in his hour of need. Just as the two reach an impasse, Enchantress arrives. Secretly working with Ares, Enchantress tricks Hercules and places him under her control. On Earth, Black Widow is recruited by Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. to go spy on her old masters. As a result, Widow tells the Avengers she isn’t interesting in joining them and breaks up with Hawkeye. After Wasp and Hawkeye leave to blow off some steam, Enchantress and Hercules appear within the mansion and attack the Avengers, easily defeating the remaining heroes. Only the eventual return of Wasp and Hawkeye help the Avengers overcome the Son of Zeus. Due to his presence on Earth without his father’s permission, Hercules is banished to Earth for a year as punishment. Luckily for Hercules, he is taken in by the Avengers.
