Brother to Scarlet Witch and a mutant, Pietro Maximoff is a speedster. Quicksilver and his sister served in Magneto’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants after Magneto saved the pair from an angry, anti-mutant mob. The pair were unwilling accomplices to Magneto’s evil schemes and they eventually left the group.
Pietro is very protective of his sister, often threatening those who act inappropriately towards her. Quicksilver is also known for having a particularly acerbic personality.
