Plot Summary
Taking some much deserved time off in their newly renovated den, the Avengers welcome home the recovering and reformed Black Widow as well as Wasp, showing off her newly inherited wealth. While several of their teammates are off on a walk about town, Wasp and Goliath are attacked by the Whirlwind, who has been undercover as Wasp’s limo driver. Turning one of Goliath’s inventions against them, Whirlwind shrinks the couple and throws them into a nearby anthill to be killed by the inhabitants. While the Cap and Quicksilver battle with Whirlwind, Goliath and Wasp fight for their lives against the ants that they were once able to control. Finally able to extricate themselves, Goliath and Wasp warn their fellow Avengers just in time for Quicksilver to dispose of the bomb which Whirlwind had covertly planted. Although the team is saved, Quicksilver can’t help but notice the anti-mutant sentiment the public casts upon him in the execution of his duties.
