Plot Summary

In preparation for their upcoming mission, the Avengers work on an experiment to restore Goliath’s powers to their full extent. Unfortunately the experiment goes awry and Wasp is forced to disable the equipment from inside in order to save Goliath. Afterward, the Avengers decide to take a break by the pool, only for Wasp to be pulled into the sky by a trap laid by the Collector. Trying to save Wasp, the remaining Avengers grab a hold of her and are pulled along with her. To their horror, when their captor reveals himself the Avengers also discover that their former teammate Thor is working for the Collector. All is not as it seems though, as it is revealed that Thor is an unwilling participant, having drunk the Collector’s obedience potion. Not wanting a damaged set of Avengers, the Collector attempts to fix Goliath’s powers, with no noticeable change. Impatient as he is, the Collector sends Thor off to collect other Avengers, starting with Iron Man. While Thor and Iron Man battle it out in a New York gym, Goliath and the rest of the Avengers fight for their freedom from a metal automaton. When the creature destroys its own controls, Goliath is forced to push himself and he finally regains the full use of his powers, saving his teammates. The Collector defeated, the Avengers return home to find a message from Captain America, telling the Avengers to expect his replacement, the Black Panther.
