Dr. Chen Lu is a Chinese scientist charged with finding a way to beat Thor after Thor interfered with a Chinese invasion of India (Sino-Indian war of 1962). Dr. Chen turned himself into Radioactive Man by exposing himself to massive amounts of radiation in order to defeat Thor and win acclaim for himself from the “Great Leader” (Chairman Mao). Chen confronts Thor but is ultimately defeated and sent back to China.
